WORLDS OF WORK SHOWCASES LOCAL COLLEGES
By WVUA 23 Web Coordinator Jade Carter
Worlds of Work 2.0 concluded its last day of events at Shelton State Community College. Wednesday, it was all catered to post secondary students and high school seniors, but today was junior day.
The day was all about high school juniors and how they can easily move around and ask questions of representatives from different colleges.
“I think it’s important because it’s really convenient for other kids to come because some kids can’t go to other colleges so it’s convenient for everyone to be here in one and they can talk, and if they decide they don’t like one thing at one school they can just go to the next and it’s right there,” said South Lamar High School student Natalie Watkins.
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama teams up with West Alabama schools each year to help students expand their career options and learn about job opportunities they might not be aware of.
