A World War II veteran received recognition from the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa for his work with patients at DCH Regional Medical Center.

The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa presented their Book of Golden Deeds to Bob Shaw, a retired US naval officer. Shaw has been spending his golden years volunteering at DCH.

“I think giving without expectation of any kind of reward is a blessing,” said Shaw. “And I received a lot of blessings when I’d visit with sick patients at the cancer center.”

The Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa is a service organization focused on child abuse prevention, community support, youth development and honoring America.
