WOOFSTOCK OFFERS MUSIC, BREWS AND MORE FOR A GREAT CAUSE

Tuscaloosa’s Canine Compassion Fund is hosting its second annual Woofstock event this weekend, offering up a music festival and silent auction for lovers of dogs and craft brews.

Tammy Tiers with the organization stopped by the WVUA 23 studio earlier this week to discuss Woofstock.

The event is happening from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 11550 Stonehedge Road in Northport. Entry costs $20, but comes with a drink ticket and a souvenir mug.

In addition to the music, the festival features craft brews and wine from Black Warrior Brewing Company, along with a silent auction.

Dogs are welcome at the event, but must be kept on a leash at all times.

The Canine Compassion Fund is a nonprofit organization helping senior dogs who were surrendered or abandoned live out the rest of their days in a loving environment. They’re raising money for a senior dogs home called Well Worn Paws, and all funds raised at Woofstock will support the future facility.
