WOODSTOCK ADAPTING TO PANDEMIC, COMMUNITY SUPPORTING BUSINESSES

Woodstock mayor Jeff Dodson is proud of the way his town has handled adjusting to life during a pandemic.

“All the restaurants have really got it together, I think, early too,” Dodson said. “People have been real good about supporting our restaurants. Our grocery stores have done pretty well here as well with sanitizing buggies and letting only so many into the store. We haven’t had any trouble that’s been noted to me.”

Dodson said he called an emergency council meeting several weeks ago to get everything in order before the declaration of emergency. It was that quick response that has helped his town adapt. The mayor’s staff has been working from home recently.
