WOMAN SHOT IN LEG AFTER ALTERCATION ON “THE STRIP”

Some scary moments for a local woman Saturday night after the Iron Bowl after shots were fired on the University Strip.

Police say a 48 year old woman was in her car trying to leave the parking lot next to The Surin Restaurant when a large group of black males wouldn’t let her out of the lot.

She honked her horn to get them to move.

She says the men began beating and kicking her car that resulted in her driver side window shattering.

After she was able to get away, the victim found police and explained what happened. During the time she was talking with police the victim realized she had been shot in the leg.

She was removed to the hospital and police are trying to identify the suspects.
