WOMAN KILLS ALLEGED ATTACKER NEAR BIRMINGHAM

Police are investigating after a woman says she shot and killed a man who abducted and sexually assaulted her near Birmingham.
Police said they responded to an apartment in Forestdale, where deputies found a 26-year-old woman in the parking lot, and Jeremy Ford, 25, dead inside the apartment.
The woman said she was kidnapped by Ford, taken to the apartment and sexually assaulted.
Authorities said she grabbed a gun and shot Ford.
