Woman dies in Friday night Tuscaloosa County crash

A two-vehicle crash late Friday in Tuscaloosa County has claimed the life of a woman from Berry.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 43 near the 204-mile marker, about 2 miles north of Northport in Tuscaloosa County.
Casey M. Jackson, 30, was fatally injured when the SUV she was driving collided head-on with a pickup driven by a 33-year-old man from Northport.
Jackson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the crash.
