West Alabama Works kicking off virtual event for job seekers

If you’re looking for a new job, West Alabama Works is partnering with Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports for a virtual hospitality hiring event starting Aug. 26 through Sept. 9.

The two agencies hope to fill both full- and part-time positions around town, especially as football season approaches. Several restaurants and hotels are participating and need new employees immediately.

Through this online “Job Connect” system, businesses will then review applicant information and immediately follow up with potential employment opportunities. Anyone interested can submit their information online here to get started.
