By WVUA 23 Reporter Lacey Beasley
Tuesday night from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookwood High School, West Alabama Works is hosting its first health care hiring event with DCH Health System. According to the event’s coordinators, attendees have a high chance of receiving job offers.
DCH has a number of jobs open, from food services, sitters, pharmacy techs or cardiac monitor techs plus more.
The main requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, the passage of a background check, and the passage of a drug screening.
All the applications will be online, so attendees will not need to bring anything with them to the fair. The only suggestion is to dress business professional.
The day after the fair, all attendees will receive an email with further instructions about next steps.
According to Tara Bullock, communications and marketing coordinator for West Alabama Works and the Chamber of Commerce, this job fair is a great opportunity for working up the healthcare ladder.
“DCH is looking to follow up with these candidates very quickly and fill these needs, so if you come, there is a great chance you’re gonna get a job and probably hear back pretty quickly,” Bullock said.
