For the next two weeks, West Alabama Works will host career development services in local communities.
The region-wide trip began in Greene County. WAW employs their mobile workforce to connect job seekers with both training and opportunities.
“I have a lot of companies that said they need people that will show up for work, and those are your soft skills, knowing that you should be at work on time, knowing what you should look like when you get to work, and being there and knowing that you are valued as well,” Tammi Holley of West Alabama Works said.
Hale, Marengo, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties are the other destinations.
West Alabama Works serves nine counties, with these events focused on the Black Belt region.
