WEST ALABAMA FOOD BANK SEES INCREASE IN DEMAND
The West Alabama Food Bank serves the community year-round, but economic woes have made demands on the food bank much higher.
Sheriff deputies came by the food bank on Monday to help direct traffic due to volume of cars coming by to get food. The food bank hands out boxes of food every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 9-11 a.m.
In this time when the food bank is helping the community more than ever, it is also in need of help. To donate to the West Alabama Food Bank, visit their website or Venmo @westalabamafoodbank. A $1 donation delivers $12.25 worth of food to a needy neighbor.
