WANNA ORDER GROCERIES DIRECT FROM A FARM? THERE’S A WEBSITE FOR THAT

There’s a tool you can use to find farms that deliver fresh farm goods to your door, thanks to the work two friends.
The idea started after the stay at home order. Pham and Curescu, who shared their website on Reddit’s r/Birmingham subreddit, said they wanted to find healthier food alternatives for meat and produce.
“A lot of meat and produce subscription box services had just started waitlisting,” Pham wrote in the post. “So we started to look into farms and found some really great ones that delivered straight to our doors.”
Pham and Curescu wanted to ensure the farms on their website had online stores with a variety of products, and also had home delivery.
Pham said in the post that they currently have around 400 farms listed that deliver and roughly 600 that offer pick-up options via farmsthataredelivering.com.
There are farms across the country on the list, and many can deliver regionally or even nationwide. Alabama’s listings are sparse at the moment, but include selections like Marble Creek Farmstead in Sylacauga and Hewett’s Honey Farm in Duncanville.
The site sorts farms by those closest to your city offering delivery or pick-up options. The farms are varied and offer goods such as meats, cheeses and fruits and vegetables. Some farms also offer homemade products such as soap or beeswax lip balm.
The website is continuously adding locations, and Pham encouraged readers to chime in with more farms to add to their catalog.
