VIRGINIA MAN FACING SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES IN TUSCALOOSA

A 45-year-old man is facing sexual assault charges after being accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl.

Tuscaloosa Police said the arrest happened early this morning after police responded to a sexual assault call. When officers arrived they were told the juvenile girl had been sexually assaulted by Richard Charles Osborn of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Officers found Osborn when he tried leaving the area, and an investigator with TPD’s Juvenile Division responded to the scene and interviewed the victim and suspect.

Osborn was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual assault, then was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail where he was held on a $15,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
