Victim identified in Friday Moundville fatal shooting

The man Moundville Police said was shot and killed Friday has been identified as the father of the man who shot him.

Moundville Police Chief Toby Banks told the Moundville Times that officers responded to the shooting just before 3 p.m. and found family members attempting CPR on the 47-year-old victim, who had been shot once in the stomach.

The victim, now identified as Jayson Tyrone Duncan, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Dillon Duncan, 25, was charged with murder and taken to the Hale County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
