VFW HOSTS BENEFIT FOR FAMILY IN NEED

A family in need got some much-needed help thanks to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6022.

The Aiken family has medical expenses associated with the care of their son, 8-year-old Ricky, who suffers from a rare neurological disorder after an MRI when he was 15 months old indicated he’d been born without a cerebellum.

Ricky’s dad, who’s a truck driver by trade, also does tribute art shows, and that side job is what inspired the benefit event. Fellow tribute artist Terry Turner said he’s glad he could help.
