VAN EXPLOSION IN BIRMINGHAM KILLS ONE, LEAVES ANOTHER IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Birmingham Fire and Rescue is investigating an explosion that occurred on 4th Avenue South and 80th Street on Tuesday night.

The explosion, which involved a parked van, killed one person and critically injured another. The blast also caused damage to a neighboring home, partially collapsing the house’s car port.

Both victims of the crash were transported to a local hospital, where one died and the other was in critical condition.
