Use Fabuloso cleaners? Check your products, because some are being recalled

A well-known cleaning product is being removed from store shelves after reports they main contain potentially harmful bacteria.

Household goods company Colgate-Palmolive is recalling almost 5 million units of Fabuloso multipurpose cleaner that were sold between December and January.

According to the notice from the Consumer Product Safety Commission, bottles affected by the recall can contain Pseudomonas-species bacteria that can enter the body through the eyes, a cut in the skin or through inhalation.

Those at risk include anyone with a weakened immune system, external medical devices or underlying lung conditions. Serious infection requiring medical treatment may occur.

Anyone with a healthy immune system should not be affected.

You can determine if a product is involved in the recall by checking the label on the back of the bottle. Recalled bottles include the lot codes 2348US78 through 2365US78 and 30001US78 through 3023US78.
