UNIVERSITY OF WEST ALABAMA RESCHEDULES SPRING COMMENCEMENT FOR JULY 31

The University of West Alabama joined many other universities in announcing their plans to have students return to campus this fall.

The university also has a task force developing a phased approach for their employees to return to work as well.

UWA President Ken Tucker released a statement about making the transition as easy as possible.

“We believe our campus has some unique assets, such as an already low student to faculty ratio that can make this full circle transition easier and more feasible,” Tucker said.

Their spring commencement, originally scheduled for May 9, has been tentatively rescheduled for July 31 as long as federal and state COVID-19 guidelines permit it.

All of their summer classes will continue to be done online with no in-person instruction until the fall semester begins.
