UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA’S PHI KAPPA PSI FRATERNITY HOUSE TORN DOWN
The University of Alabama is always changing, and today the campus said goodbye to another of its older landmarks.
The Phi Kappa Psi house next to Bryant-Denny Stadium, built in 1928, was torn down today. The fraternity moved in back in 1962, and members said while they are moving somewhere bigger and better, it’s bittersweet.
“It’s had it’s day, said alumni Phi Psi member Marc Robbins. “It’s sad, but there are good things to come.”
The new house remains on University Boulevard, but has moved to a location near Butler Field.
