UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA OFFERING NEW PARKING OPTION THIS YEAR
If you’re tired of risking heavy fines when you park at the University of Alabama during regular business hours, here’s a new option for you.
UA Transportation Services is offering a new option: multi-space pay-parking stations.
UA Transportation Director Chris D’Esposito said the stations are being offered at the UA Rec Center and at the Campus Drive parking deck.
“We’re hoping this will satisfy some needs of the students that don’t have parking permits, that don’t want to buy a permit, which is fine,” he said. “But it also gives them more access to campus.”
The stations allow for 30 minutes of free parking, but 30 minutes to an hour costs $1. After that, each additional hour is $2.
