University of Alabama COVID Dashboard: Under 100 students affected last week

The University of Alabama System today updated its COVID-19 Dashboard for the week of Sept. 6 through Sept. 12, revealing another drop of cases among students, faculty and staff.

At the University of Alabama, 83 students and 31 faculty or staff members reported a positive COVID-19 test. The University of Alabama at Birmingham had 56 students and 31 faculty or staff members reporting a positive COVID-19 test, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville had 20 students and eight faculty or staff members reporting a positive COVID-19 test.

Last week, UA reported 126 positive reports for students and 31 for faculty or staff members.

The system’s flagship university in Tuscaloosa remains at the top for the percentage of faculty or staff getting at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with more than 72.5%. UAB follows close behind at 72%, and UAH is at 68%.

Among students, UAB leads the pack with more than 63% with at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. UA has 60.9% and UAH has 49%.
