Longtime United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama volunteer Margaret Strahn comes in twice a week to work with clients through activities and to lend emotional support. Recently, UCPWA recognized her service with a ceremony and a plaque as a fun thank-you.

UCPWA Chief Operating Officer Cody Ingram said they are thankful for all the work she has done.

“She’s been running the program for a few years,” said Ingram. “Working with the few individuals that we serve and helping them get physical education, strengthening them and keeping them in good physical health.”

Strahn and her husband are well-known in the area for their work with adapted athletics, and she said she hopes to continue volunteering for as long as she can.
