UNEMPLOYMENT IN TUSCALOOSA COUNTY IS UP

The unemployment rate in Tuscaloosa County is up.

It’s part of a trend seen throughout much of Alabama. In June, Tuscaloosa County’s unemployment rate was 6.3 percent.

The state’s official unemployment rate remains at 6.1 percent. A year ago, it was 6.8 percent.
