Reporting by WVUA 23’s Caroline Wood

The University of Alabama is holding the 12th Annual Southeast Regional ADHD Conference at Bryant Conference Center.

The conference features a group of experts sharing their research and interventions on ADHD. It includes content that is specifically aimed at educators, counselors, parents, adults with ADHD, mental health professionals and medical professionals.

John Willson is the Executive Director of SOAR – a nonprofit adventure learning program for children diagnosed with learning and attention challenges – and said the conference helps those impacted by attention challenges.

“It’s a terrific opportunity for parents, educators and anybody you know even individuals with some type of attention challenge to come and to learn and to grow and to experience, you know, information that is going to change their lives,” Willson said.

The conference is being held Jan. 23-24, 2020.
