Tuscaloosa police need your help after two women were attacked at Snow Hinton Park on Saturday.

Police say a 41-year-old woman told police that she was walking along the track at the park around 7:30 p.m. when she was approached by a young black man who grabbed her from behind, pulled a gun on her and demanded sex. The victim said the told the suspect she couldn’t have sex because she had a disease, and the suspect fled on foot and possibly got into a dark-colored SUV and left.

The same night, a 17-year-old woman told police she was sexually assaulted at the park around 8:30 p.m. The victim said she was in the park near the bathrooms, and that a young black man approached her, told her he had a gun and told her to put her phone away.

The suspect took the victim to the other bathrooms in the park and sexually assaulted her. The victim said the suspect then walked her to her car and stole money from her, then got into a dark-colored 4-door car and drove away.

Both victims said other people were in the park during the assaults.

The suspect is described as a young black male who may be in his late teens or early 20s, with a thin build. The victims said he was wearing a dark-colored shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.
