TWO INJURED IN SHOOTING, VICTIMS GIVE CONFLICTING STATEMENTS

According to Tuscaloosa Police, around 3 p.m. on July 4, someone shot a 29-year old in the neck, and a 24-year-old in his side. Investigators met with the victims at DCH Regional Medical Center, and say they still aren’t sure where the shooting happened. One of the victims said it happened on Hargrove Road and East Skyland Boulevard. He claims the suspect approached them on foot, and shot into their vehicle. The other victim said it happened near the 2200 block of Skyland Boulevard, and that the shots came from a black SUV that pulled up next to them. Investigators say they couldn’t find evidence of a shooting at either location. Neither victim’s injuries are considered to be life threatening.
