TUSCALOOSA’S GIFTED STUDENTS DISPLAY TALENTS AT SHOWCASE
Story by WVUA 23’s Jordan Johnson.
A special showcase put on by gifted students was held at the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy on Tuesday night.
The students have worked since August for three hours a week to complete different projects, including robotics, art history and different inventions.
This showcase was for the parents to see what their children have been working on for so long. The showcase also had special guests from the Board of Education, including Tuscaloosa City Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Daria.
“In this, you see really excited students engaged in their own learning because this is more than just learning for the sake of learning,” Daria said. “It’s learning by doing.”
