The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center will hold a parade for families and friends of residents on May 19 at 10:30 a.m.

For more than 60 days, residents were unable to receive visitors due to social distancing measures. The Tuscaloosa VA wanted to provide a safe way for families to see each other.

The residents will hold the parade outside Building 61 of the Tuscaloosa VA Community Living Center, with more than 120 residents in attendance. Those who know residents are encouraged to drive through and wave.

Social distancing rules still apply. For residents living in the outer Community Living Center Cottages, a second parade will be held on May 21 at 10:30 a.m.
