Tuscaloosa Tourism and Sports has a new president and CEO lined up to replace current CEO Don Staley when he inevitably retires.
TTS’ Board of Directors made the announcement Wednesday, saying Kelsey Rush is the organization’s CEO in waiting.
Hired by Staley, Rush worked for TTS from 2010 to 2015 as a sports sales marketing representative and as director of event operations. She returned last year as vice president of marketing and communications after working six years in Nashville.
“We look forward to a vibrant and flourishing future for our organization as she continues the exceptional path Don Staley has laid out,” said TTS Board Chair Samyra Snoddy.
Staley, who has served as president and CEO since 2017, said he believes the organization “will achieve new heights under (Rush’s) leadership and vision to become one of the top destination marketing organizations in the region.”
