Tuscaloosa Titans

The Tuscaloosa Titans are only in their second season as a member of the North American Basketball League, but they already find themselves in prime position for a championship.

The Titans finished in the final four last season and are looking to surpass that as the postseason approaches this year. Tuscaloosa is currently the second-ranked team in the league.

“We had a good regular season,” Tamarcus Pruitt said. “We finished 12-2. We’re facing the playoffs where the real season actually starts. We’re playing a four-game season, so this is what we’ve been looking forward to all year to get back to this point.”

The Titans host the Charleston Panthers on Saturday evening at Echols Middle School in the first round of the playoffs. The Titans have defeated the Panthers twice already this season. Just because the Titans have already beaten the Panthers twice doesn’t mean they are underestimating their first-round opponent.

“One game at a time,” Brian Sylvester said. “[We have] four games and we have to go four and zero. Just stay locked in every game. Try to improve every game, try to get more chemistry with the team every game.”
