Tuscaloosa Titans

The Tuscaloosa Titans defeated the Charleston Panthers 119-110 in the NABL Conference Semi-Finals on Saturday, setting up a meeting with the Georgia Kingz in the conference finals this weekend.

With the win on Saturday, the Titans improved their record to 13-2 on the season. The two blemishes on an otherwise perfect record come from the Kingz.

If the Titans are able to overcome the Kingz for the first time this season, they will advance to the Championship Series Final Four in Kentucky.

Head coach Tamarcus Pruitt and his team say they are excited for this weekend and the chance to defend their conference title.

“I think this time will be sweet,” Pruitt said. “This is the time we want to win. It’s the game where something counts, something is on the line, so we are looking forward to it.”

Titans guard Rodriques Palmer excepts the game with the Kingz to be a battle.

“I mean, I feel like we’re the better team,” Palmer said. “If we just play together we can come out with the W. I mean, they are not a pushover team so I’m looking for a fight.”
