TUSCALOOSA RESIDENTS COMMEMORTATE BLOODY TUESDAY
A half century after Bloody Tuesday in 1964, Tuscaloosa residents marched in downtown Tuscaloosa to commemorate the tragic events of the civil rights struggle.
The march brought out participants of all ages, but organizers said they hope to see more young people become involved with the march’s efforts in the future.
The march was part of Unity Week in Tuscaloosa, which attempts to bring everyone together for the advancement of civil rights. Unity Week events will continue until Sunday.
