TUSCALOOSA PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL SEEK ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM CITY, COUNTY AND NORTHPORT
The Tuscaloosa Public Library is in need of funding and it is planning on requesting it from Tuscaloosa, Northport and Tuscaloosa County.
In 2020, the Tuscaloosa Public Library believes it will need almost $150,000 more from the city. The library is also planning on asking the Tuscaloosa County Commission for an 8% funding increase and Northport for a 10% increase.
This year, Tuscaloosa Public Library received roughly $1.8 million from the city, $1.3 million from the county and $50,000 from Northport.
