Tuscaloosa Public Library showcases community offerings

<p>The <a href=”https://www.tuscaloosa-library.org/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Tuscaloosa Public Library</a> held its annual Christmas open house on Sunday, showcasing the library’s offerings along with plenty of family-friendly activities too.</p><p>The event featured activities such as children’s games, book signings and postcard making.</p><p>Local author Laura Hunter said the open house allowed authors and fans to mingle and make connections.</p><p>“We have so much talent in Tuscaloosa County,” Hunter said. “It’s just unbelievable.”</p><p>Before the pandemic, the event saw as many as 1,000 people during their one-day event, but after the pandemic, numbers dropped to 300-400 people.</p><p>Author Lynessa Layne said she loves seeing people interact with their favorite writers.</p><p>“I think it’s important to the community,” Layne said.</p>
