Tuscaloosa Police surprise students with bike delivery

By WVUA 23 Digital Reporter Kyrsten Eller
Every holiday season, Tuscaloosa Police Department officers and members of the Police Athletic League distribute brand new bikes to deserving students.
The police are on the look out for students who are positive influences in their school through good behavior and good grades.
Emmanuel Pena attends Alberta Elementary School and was excited to be chosen for a bike.
“Maybe since I’ve been good this is my reward,” said Pena. “Like, people don’t regularly get this unless you’ve been good. I’m just happy that I’ve been good and gotten good grades this year.”
