TUSCALOOSA POLICE SEARCHING FOR PERSON WHO STOLE TRUCK, BROKE INTO FOOD TRUCK

Tuscaloosa Police are searching for the person or people responsible for a car theft and a business break-in over the weekend.

It happened Saturday morning at the Charm District, located at 2020 Hackberry Lane.

Tuscaloosa Police said someone stole a 2006 blue F-150 truck from the parking lot of the business. Around 5 p.m. Saturday, the truck was recovered in Bessemer.

Also at the same location, the Catch a Taste food truck was burglarized, and several items were taken.

“I think we need to be aware of break-ins and burglaries because crime is going to be on the rise because people have a lot of time on their hands,” said business owner David Grant Jr. “They’re not using that time being constructive, they’re not going to work, they just have a lot of dead time.”

If you have any information about the burglary, please call the Tuscaloosa Police Department at 205-349-2121.
