TUSCALOOSA POLICE ARREST 34 PEOPLE IN CRIME ROUNDUP WEDNESDAY
The Tuscaloosa Police Department flooded high-crime areas around Tuscaloosa Wednesday and arrested a total of 34 people.
Police saturated the areas in an effort to prevent crime and search for illegal weapons, drugs and people with active warrants.
Charges for people arrested include failure to appear in court, felony and misdemeanor drug charges and weapons violations. Warrants served included both felonies and misdemeanors.
In addition, a vehicle reported stolen from Jefferson County was recovered, and the person who had it was arrested.
Tuscaloosa Police Chief Brent Blankley said these operations will continue in an effort to make Tuscaloosa’s streets safer.
