TUSCALOOSA OKS JACK WARNER PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PLAN
Tuscaloosa’s Public Projects Committee approved a contract agreement with Burk-Klein Peter Incorporated for a $371,000 improvement plan on Jack Warner Parkway.
This is due to the construction of the Saban Center in the River District Park. The new center will be located in the current Tuscaloosa News building at the corner of Jack Warner Parkway and 28th Avenue, across the street from the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.
The city will realign a portion of Jack Warner Parkway and MLK Boulevard.
Terra Tubbs, an employee of the city of Tuscaloosa, said they have a lot of plans for that area.
“What this will allow us to do to accommodate pedestrian facilities in the future that will actually go overhead and go above Jack Warner Parkway,” Tubbs said.
