TUSCALOOSA MAYORAL CANDIDATE HOSTING COMMUNITY MEET-AND-GREETS
Tuscaloosa mayoral candidate Stepfon Lewis will be holding community meet and greets in order to inform the public on his platform.
Lewis has lived in Tuscaloosa for 45 years and is looking to give back.
Lewis is a big advocate for the black community in Tuscaloosa and if elected as Mayor of Tuscaloosa, wants to build an African-American business district.
“We want to make sure that the black business owners have a chance to create new jobs, build new businesses and have a village-type structure that will bring a big economic boom to the city,” he said.
He also wants the community to know that they have a voice.
The community meet-and-greets will be held on the first Tuesday of every month, starting Oct. 4, at Archibalds & Woodrows BBQ. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m. There will be refreshments and live jazz music.
