TUSCALOOSA MAN TAKEN TO DCH AFTER HOUSE FIRE
Six fire and rescue units responded to a call of a house fire at the corner of 18th Street and Crescent Ridge Road around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
One man was in the house and escaped through a window. He required medical attention and was taken to DCH Medical Center.
A team was on the scene to check if the house had smoke detectors, to figure out what caused the fire and to begin their investigation.
The man received minor injuries but should be okay, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
