A Tuscaloosa man was sentenced to 30 years in prison but will only serve 30 months before getting probation after pleading guilty Wednesday to videotaping himself raping a woman in 2019.

Robert Dusty Lee was sentenced by Tuscaloosa County Judge Brad Almond to 20 years for a sexual extortion charge and another 10 years for a first-degree sex abuse charge.

Lee must serve 30 months of his sentence, but after that he’ll be placed on high-intensity probation for five years. If he violates probation, he must serve the remaining 27 and a half years of his sentence in prison.

Lee is getting credit for the time he’s already spent in jail, which means his release date will be February 2022.
