TUSCALOOSA LEADERS VISIT ELEMENTARY STUDENTS

A few Tuscaloosa leaders offered up their voices and their reading skills to a few Central Elementary classrooms today.

Tuscaloosa City Councilwoman Phyllis Odom read to Amy Winstead’s kindergarten class, and Tuscaloosa County Commissioner Reginald Murray read to students in Delos Fuller’s first-grade class.

But they weren’t the only ones reading to students today, as the Foster Grandparent program at Focus on Senior Citizens was also there.

In addition, more than 50 books were donated to the school.
