Tuscaloosa jail escapee captured after hours on the run
An inmate who escaped from the Tuscaloosa County Jail this morning is back in custody after a witness noticed him in downtown Northport and called police.
Quinn Martel Don Rogers, 23, escaped from jail before 6 a.m., and was captured just before 8 a.m. in the area of Fifth Street and Main Avenue in downtown Northport.
Rogers was in jail after an October arrest on burglary and theft charges.
The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said Rogers walked off from the area of the loading dock during a delivery.
