Tuscaloosa has new city clerk
Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox this week appointed the city’s acting city clerk to the open full-time position.
City Clerk Brandy Johnson replaces Carly Standridge beginning Oct. 25.
Johnson has worked for the city of Tuscaloosa since 2016 in the Office of the City Attorney, as the assistant city clerk and as the acting city clerk since August.
“We are very excited to have Brandy as the newest department head at the city of Tuscaloosa,” Maddox said in a statement. “In her time at the City, she has proven to be a difference-maker and she is highly qualified to serve in this role.”
