The Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service is gearing up for National Fire Prevention Week.

The fourth annual Fire Expo is set to kick off on Monday, Oct. 7 at University Mall’s Veterans Memorial Park from 4-7 p.m.

The free event will include live burn demonstrations, face painting, fire truck rides and much more for the entire family to enjoy.

Madison Fire and Rescue will provide an opportunity for children and adults to experience different fire scenarios inside a virtual reality safety trailer. The trailer is the first in the U.S. to be used in the fire service and will educate participants on how to safely put out or escape a fire inside a home.

Please contact Holly Whigham at 205-248-5445 with questions regarding the event.
