TUSCALOOSA EDUCATORS LOOK TO MERCEDES FOR NON-TRADITIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Tuscaloosa school leaders went on a mini field trip this week to see how students can learn outside the classroom.
A few administrators and leaders from the workforce academy took a tour of the Mercedes-Benz facility in Vance. They’re exploring more non-traditional teaching methods for students allowing them more learning opportunities through Tuscaloosa Technical.
“As an educator, you are told of the different avenues that students can participate in, but until you really lay eyes on things and can see hands on what is available for students, it gives you a different perspective,” said Casey Lee Dykes, assistant principal at Sipsey Valley High School.
Dykes also added how teachers might feel an excitement when taking new learning methods from Mercedes back to their students.
