Tuscaloosa County man facing child porn charges

A joint investigation led by the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force resulted in the arrest of a Tuscaloosa County man on charges related to child pornography on Thursday.

James Marshall Green, 29, was charged with nine counts of possession of child sex abuse material and one count of dissemination of child sex abuse material after investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday morning.

Officers with the Northport, University of Alabama and Tuscaloosa Police departments assigned to the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force conducted the investigation, with assistance from the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit’s sexual assault division, the TPD Cyber Intelligence division, the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the 25th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Green was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Jail and was being held with bond set at $165,000 Wednesday afternoon.
