The Tuscaloosa County Democratic Party hosted a meeting for voter outreach and communication committees to meet and begin working on this year’s political agenda.

Newly elected Chairman Dexter Lowery said the party is gearing up for the March 3 primary.

“You have to get out there and vote, which is the purpose of this committee meeting,” Lowery said. “Nobody is going to win any elections with people that do not show up.”

The Democratic Party wants to emphasize what is going on in the country, what is going on in Alabama and wants to make sure that the voters get a clear picture, Lowrey said.
