TUSCALOOSA CITY COUNCIL APPROVES CHANGES TO THE FIRE CODE

Tuesday’s Tuscaloosa City Council Members approves changes to the city’s fire code.

This comes after complaints of overcrowding at bars and restaurants.

Under the new amendment, the city will be looking at the number of people inside the bars as well as the number allowed.

They will also look at blocked exits and the number of exit doors.

If these codes are violated repeatedly, the bar could be shut down for up to three days.
