Tuscaloosa businesses benefitted greatly from the Crimson Tide’s home matchup against Georgia. Despite social distancing guidelines, large crowds gathered at various spots throughout the city.
Local business owners have a renewed sense of optimism after the big weekend.
“Just because I think Georgia is so close to us we had a lot of people traveling and a lot busier,” Glory Bound’s Assistant General Manager Claire McWhirter said.
“We had a line for the rest of the day, which didn’t happen the first home game,” McWhirter said.
Although concerns about the pandemic remain, local businesses feel good about their future, especially after a successful weekend.
